2023-24 Regular Season Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico – December 11 Round Up

The 2023-24 Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico regular season is past the halfway mark during the month of December. Several players are reaching their peak during this part of the season and have put up quality numbers prior to the leagues’ round robin, which will start next month. 

Algodoneros de Guasave outfielder Yadir Drake has put up great numbers and is one player to watch out for closing out the regular season. Drake is leading the league with his average at .342 playing in 42 games with 149 at-bats recording 51 hits, 13 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 17 RBI, 23 walks, 13 strikeouts, and a .929 OPS. 

Aguilas de Mexicali designated hitter Kennys Vargas is leading LAMP in RBIs at 44 during this part of the season. Vargas has played in 50 games batting .294 in 180 at-bats smacking 53 hits, 13 doubles, eight home runs, 24 walks, 42 strikeouts, and a .889 OPS. 

Mayos de Navojoa outfielder Max Murphy has the most home runs in LAMP with 12. Murphy has played in 44 games with 162 at-bats recording 48 hits, 14 doubles, one triple, 34 RBI, 15 walks, 58 strikeouts, and a 1.007 OPS. 

Aguilas de Mexicali starting pitcher David Reyes leads the league in wins at seven and his ERA at 1.74. Reyes has a 7-2 record starting in 10 games and has thrown 57 innings recording 38 strikeouts while allowing 51 hits, 11 earned runs, two home runs, 13 walks, and a 1.12 WHIP. 

Charros de Jalisco starting pitcher Luis Rodriguez is leading the league in strikeouts with 61. Rodriguez has posted a 1-5 record in 10 starts throwing 54.2 innings, recording a 3.79 ERA,  allowing 50 hits, 23 earned runs, three home runs, 10 walks, and a 1.10 WHIP. 

Algodoneros de Guasave relief pitcher Peyton Gray has not allowed an earned run during the 2023-24 regular season and leads the league in saves with 17. Gray has a 0-1 record in 26 appearances throwing 25 innings, striking out 38 batters, allowing 10 hits, 10 walks, and a 0.80 WHIP. 

The 2023-24 LAMP regular season will have games on December 12. Charros de Jalisco will play on the road at Estadio Nido de los Águilas against the Aguilas de Mexicali at 8:30 p.m. EST. Sultanes de Monterrey will travel to Estadio Teodoro Mariscal to play the Venados de Mazatlán at 8:30 p.m. EST.  Tomateros de Culiacán will host Cañeros de Los Mochis at Estadio Tomateros at 9:05 p.m. EST. Yaquis de Obregon will play at home at Estadio Yaquis against the Mayos de Navojoa at 9:10 p.m. EST.  Algodoneros de Guasave will go on the road to play Naranjeros de Hermosillo at Estadio Fernando Valenzuela at 9:30 p.m. EST. 

All LAMP games will be streamed on https://www.extrabase.tv/home with a paid subscription until their best-of-seven championship series in late January before the start of the 2024 Caribbean Series in Miami at loanDepot Park from February 1-9.
