2025 MLB Draft Combine Set For June 17-21 At Chase Field In Phoenix With 322 Players Participating

The 2025 Major League Baseball Draft Combine will take place in Phoenix, Ariz. at Chase Field from June 17-21 for the third consecutive year.

The first MLB Draft Combine at a Major League venue was at Petco Park in San Diego, Calif. in 2022, following its debut in 2021 at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, N.C.

The 2025 MLB Draft Combine will be televised on MLB Network with extensive live on-site coverage on June 17 at 12 p.m. EDT.

All workouts for media attendees to cover will be from June 17-19, and from June 20-21, all officials from MLB organizations will be present to meet with players and their families to discuss signing opportunities.

2025 MLB Draft Combine Schedule
All Times Are Pacific Time

Tuesday, June 17
On-Field Workouts – 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
MLB Network Showcase – 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
High School Game – 6 p.m.

Wednesday, June 18
On-Field Workouts – 9:30 a.m.

Thursday, June 19
Strength & Conditioning – 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The MLB Draft Combine will feature 322 draft prospects, including 180 collegiate players and 142 high school athletes, as well as a group of former Major League players and coaches, members of Club baseball operations departments, scouting directors, and other Club personnel, along with USA Baseball officials.

According to the MLB.com press release, “The Combine will provide an opportunity for players to participate in a series of on-field, medical and performance assessments as well as educational programming designed to prepare them for careers in professional baseball. All players will have the opportunity to participate in a pro-style showcase workout, as well as strength and performance assessments. Additionally, high school players will have the option to participate in games against other high school Combine attendees.”

There will be 322 players participating in the MLB Draft Combine next week, and all have confirmed they will be in Phoenix.

According to Joe Doyle of FSS Plus, “there are only 281 players that will be at the MLB Draft Combine that are currently ranked on the Top 200 Draft Prospect List from MLBPipeline.com for the 2025 Draft, and players who have confirmed they will not participate in the event due to the NCAA Division I College World Series are Aiva Arquette from Oregon State, Kade Anderson from Louisiana State University, and Patrick Forbes from the University of Louisville.”

Other players ranked in the Top 200 Draft Prospects from MLBPipeline.com who have elected not to participate at the 2025 MLB Draft Combine are Ethan Holliday at No. 1, Eli Willits at No. 5, and Kruz Schoolcraft at No. 20.

2025 MLB Draft Information

The 2025 MLB Draft will be held from July 13-14 in Atlanta, Ga. as part of the All-Star Game festivities and will assign amateur players from high school and college in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico to any of the 30 organizations. There will be 615 draft picks over 20 rounds.

The 2025 MLB Draft will take place at the Coca-Cola Roxy at the Battery Atlanta on July 13 at 6 p.m. EDT and will be televised on ESPN and MLB Network.

The Washington Nationals currently have the first pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, having been awarded it at the MLB Winter Meetings on December 10, 2024, in Dallas, Texas.
