2025 NCAA Division I College World Series Outline
The 2025 NCAA Division I College World Series announced its game start times from the organizers of the event, the College World Series of Omaha Inc., on Jan. 16.
All of the 2025 NCAA Division I CWS will be played at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb., from June 13–23 if there is a Game Three in the National Championship Series.
The ESPN family networks and ABC will broadcast the entire College World Series until the final out of the NCS.
The NCAA Division I College World Series is a double-elimination event alongside the Regionals and Super Regionals.
2025 NCAA Division I Tournament Schedule Prior to Omaha
Super Regionals: Friday–Monday, June 6–9
The MCWS has been in Omaha since the 1950 event, after being held in Wichita, Kan., at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in 1949, and in Kalamazoo, Mich., at Hyames Field from 1947 until 1948.
Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium was home to the MCWS from 1950–2010, prior to Charles Schwab Field opening its doors as the new home of the Creighton University baseball program in 2011.
Last year, the 2024 CWS featured half of the programs from the Power Five conferences—four from the Southeastern Conference (Kentucky, Florida, Texas A&M, and Tennessee) and four from the Atlantic Coast Conference (NC State, Florida State, Virginia, and North Carolina). It was the first time the tournament field was evenly split between just two conferences.
No. 1 ranked Tennessee, under head coach Tony Vitello, won their first National Championship in the 2024 CWS with a 6–5 win over Texas A&M in the deciding Game Three.
Tennessee’s Dylan Dreiling was named Most Outstanding Player after hitting .542 with three home runs and 11 RBIs. In the championship series alone, Dreiling went 7-for-12, scored four runs, and drove in seven, becoming the first player in MCWS history to homer in all three games of the finals.
The scope of the 2025 NCAA Division I season now shifts to the final eight teams that will make it to Omaha. This year’s tournament reflects the new Power Four conference structure—ACC, SEC, Big Ten, and Big 12—following the collapse of the Pac-12 after the 2024 regular season.
