On Thursday, the field of teams for the 2026 Amegy Bank College Baseball Series was announced. The invitational event will take place from Feb. 20-22, 2026 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, the home of the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball.
The field of teams is a healthy mix of squads from power conferences. The lone SEC representative will be the Auburn Tigers, who played in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series this season. They went 3-0, defeating Ohio State, Oregon State, and Baylor.
Two ACC teams, Florida State and Louisville, will join the field of six in Arlington. Florida State is arguably the strongest team this season that will be at the event next year. They did not play in an invitational event at the beginning of this season.
Louisville played in this season’s Shriners Children’s College Showdown at Globe Life Field. They went 2-1 in the event, beating Texas and Arizona. They also took a loss at the hands of Oklahoma State.
Kansas State is the lone Big 12 representative in the event next season. Like Auburn, they also played in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series this season and went 3-0. They defeated Arkansas, TCU, and Michigan.
As for Michigan, they are also returning to the event for next season in Texas. Along with the loss they had in Globe Life Field against Kansas State, they also lost the two other games they played in that same weekend against Arkansas and TCU.
Nebraska rounds out the field of teams and joins Michigan as the second Big Ten representative. The Cornhuskers played in the Frisco College Baseball Classic, which is a little less than an hour away from Globe Life Field. In that event, they beat Sam Houston and took two losses against LSU and Kansas State.
This field includes big contenders from this season, like Florida State, as well as two teams, Auburn and Kansas State, that had undefeated runs in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series this year.
