The Auburn Tigers (42-20, 17-13 SEC) are hosting a super regional at Plainsman Park and are looking to get back to the College World Series for the first time since 2022. Auburn will face off against the Ole Miss Rebels (39-21, 15-15 SEC), who are looking to get back to the College World Series for the first time since 2022, when they won the national championship.
It is important to note that Auburn and Ole Miss did not play during Southeastern Conference (SEC) play this season.

Auburn fights through elimination to win regional title
The Auburn Tigers did not start the Auburn regional on the right foot. The Tigers lost to the fourth-seeded Milwaukee Panthers 13-8 in the first game.
However, four straight wins after that loss to Milwaukee allowed Auburn to win its second straight regional title.
The power hitting from the Tigers was on full display during the four-game win streak in the Auburn regional. Auburn had 13 home runs as a team across those four games. The Tigers had five home runs in a 17-13 win over the NC State Wolfpack and six home runs in a 9-3 win over the UCF Knights.
Auburn’s offense matches up well with an Ole Miss team that is top 20 in the country in home runs this season with 103.
Ole Miss puts together a complete effort in the Lincoln regional
The Ole Miss Rebels won the Lincoln regional and left Haymarket Park with a 3-0 record. The Rebels beat Nebraska once and Arizona State twice for the regional title.
The Ole Miss pitching staff was on fire during regional play last weekend. The Rebels had 35 strikeouts across all three games in Lincoln and reached double figures in strikeouts in each game. Ole Miss allowed less than five runs in each of the last two games in the regional against Nebraska and Arizona State.
The offense for the Rebels played well in Lincoln, too. The Rebels had 30 hits across all three games, which included nine extra-base hits.
The Ole Miss offense was also well-disciplined. They drew 26 walks across all three games. The Rebels drew 10 walks in the 5-4 win over Arizona State in the Lincoln regional final.
