The World Baseball Softball Confederation Europe sector has selected Ducksfield in Wiener Neustadt, Austria—home of the Diving Ducks Baseball Club in the Austria Baseball Bundesliga—as the host of the 2026 Baseball European Cup, scheduled for June 1–7.
The Baseball European Cup is a club league competition, not a national team event. Participating European club teams for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced.
Ducksfield has established itself as a trusted venue for WBSC Europe events, previously hosting the 2017 A-Pool U15 Baseball European Championship, the 2021 International Baseball Weekend (GER/CZE/AUT), the 2023 A-Pool U23 Baseball European Championship, and the 2025 Boys of Summer International Tournament.
The Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz of Spain’s División de Honor de Beisbol won the 2025 European Baseball Cup at Stade Saint Exupéry in Rouen, France, going 4–0 and securing their third straight title from 2023–25.
Italy holds the most gold medals in the event’s history with eight, dating back to the tournament’s inception in 1993 when it was previously known as the Confederation Cup and the CEB Cup.
According to the WBSC Europe website, “Ducksfield features 300 permanent seats (expandable to ~1,000), full floodlighting, and a club-run canteen. The Diving Ducks are also close to opening their new indoor facility.”
More information is expected as WBSC Europe finalizes preparations for the 2026 event.
