2026 Caribbean Series Relocated From Caracas to Guadalajara
The 2026 Caribbean Series was originally scheduled to be played at Estadio Simón Bolívar and Estadio Fórum La Guaira in Caracas, Venezuela, before being relocated to Guadalajara, Mexico.
Logistical planning for the relocation of the 2026 Caribbean Series took place in early December.
The Confederación de Béisbol Profesional del Caribe announced on December 18, 2025 that the 2026 Caribbean Series would be moved from Caracas to Guadalajara.

Serie de las Américas Relocation
The 2026 Serie de las Américas event was relocated to Estadio Simón Bolívar and Estadio Fórum La Guaira and will be held from February 5–13.
The participating clubs at the 2026 Serie de las Américas include the Caimanes de Barranquilla of the Liga Profesional de Béisbol Colombiano, Club DAOM of the Liga Argentina de Béisbol, Leones de León of the Asociación Profesional de Béisbol Nicaragüense, Águilas Metropolitanas of Panama ProBeis, Cuba’s national team, and the Curaçao Professional Baseball League representative.
2026 Caribbean Series Broadcast and Venue
The 2026 Caribbean Series will take place from February 1–7 in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico at Estadio Panamericano.
All games of the 2026 Caribbean Series in the United States will be televised in Spanish on ESPN Deportes through the championship game on February 7.
The 2026 Caribbean Series will also be broadcast in English in the United States on MLB Network.

The tournament will be televised in Mexico on VC Deportes, Megacable, ESPN, and Disney+ Premium.
Estadio Panamericano is home to the Charros de Jalisco of the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico.
Participating Leagues and Teams
The Liga Venezolana de Béisbol Profesional will not participate in the 2026 Caribbean Series despite remaining a member of the Confederación de Béisbol Profesional del Caribe.
The 2025–26 LVBP champion will instead compete in the 2026 Serie de las Américas in Caracas, Venezuela.

The Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Mexico are also members of the CBPC.
The last time Venezuela did not participate in the Caribbean Series was in 1974, when the league experienced a players’ strike. That event was held in Hermosillo, Mexico at Estadio Héctor Espino, with the Tigres del Licey representing the Dominican Republic and the Criollos de Caguas representing Puerto Rico, alongside Mexico’s top two finishers, the Venados de Mazatlán and Yaquis de Obregón.
The champions of the 2025–26 winter league seasons represented at the 2026 Caribbean Series come from the Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente, the Liga de Béisbol Profesional de la República Dominicana, the top two finishers from the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico, and Panama.
The participating teams are the Charros de Jalisco and Tomateros de Culiacán from LAMP, the Federales de Chiriquí of Panama ProBeis, the Cangrejeros de Santurce of the LBPRC, and the Leones del Escogido of LIDOM.
The Tomateros de Culiacán are designated as the Mexico Green Team, while the Charros de Jalisco are designated as the Mexico Red Team.
The Charros de Jalisco won the 2025–26 Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico championship on January 25 after sweeping the Tomateros de Culiacán on home soil.
The Cangrejeros de Santurce have won the Caribbean Series in 1951, 1953, 1955, 1993, and 2000, and have appeared in the tournament in 1951, 1953, 1955, 1959, 1971, 1973, 1991, 1993, 2000, 2015, 2016, 2019, and 2020.
The Leones del Escogido have won the Caribbean Series in 1988, 1990, 2010, 2012, and 2025, and have also appeared in 1981, 1982, 1989, 1992, 2013, and 2016.
The Federales de Chiriquí have appeared at the Caribbean Series in 2021, 2023, and 2024.
Mexico has hosted the Caribbean Series in Hermosillo in 1974, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, and 2013. Mazatlán hosted in 1978, 1989, 1993, 2005, and 2021. Culiacán hosted in 2001 and 2017, while Guadalajara hosted in 2018. Mexicali hosted the event in 2009 and 2025.
Mexico has won the Caribbean Series nine times in 1976, 1986, 1996, 2002, 2005, 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2016.
Mexico first participated in the Caribbean Series in 1971 with the Naranjeros de Hermosillo at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The Tigres del Licey lead all clubs with 11 Caribbean Series championships, followed by Águilas Cibaeñas with six, Cangrejeros de Santurce and Criollos de Caguas with five, and Leones del Escogido with five.
