With the Caribbean Series ending tonight and World Baseball Classic and spring training reporting dates coming next week, there are several minor league deals that have flown under the radar.
Angels Sign Jose Siri, Jeimer Candelario – The Los Angeles Angels signed two Dominican players with MLB experience to minor league deals within the past week. Jon Heyman of the New York Post reported on deals with outfielder Jose Siri on Feb. 1, and infielder Jeimer Candelario on Feb.3, according to his X account.
Siri can earn up to $1.6 million if he makes their MLB club, and Candelario can make up to $780,000 thousand if he does the same. Both players will also receive an invite to spring training.

Siri, 30, played with the New York Mets in 2025, was designated for assignment on Sept. 24. He played five games with the Gigantes del Cibao in LIDOM this winter. Siri has played five MLB seasons and has 54 home runs, 137 RBIs, 45 stolen bases, and a slash line of .206/.263/.400 in 1,119 at-bats.
Candelario, 32, was with the Cincinnati Reds last season, and he played 22 games before he was released on June 29. He also played with the Toros del Este in LIDOM this winter. Candelario has played in MLB for 10 seasons, with the majority of his career spent with the Detroit Tigers from 2017-2022.
He has 110 home runs, 384 RBIs, 19 stolen bases, and a slash line of .237/.315/.411 in 3,195 MLB at-bats.
Rangers Sign Reliever Ryan Brasier – The Texas Rangers signed relief pitcher Ryan Brasier to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training on Feb. 6, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News. Brasier, 38, is a two-time World Series champion with the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Last season, he pitched for the Chicago Cubs, posting an ERA of 4.50 in 26 innings with 20 strikeouts.
Brasier is a right-handed pitcher who has pitched 311 ⅓ innings with 301 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.90 in his nine-year career in Major League Baseball.
Dylan Moore Headed to Phillies – The Philadelphia Phillies announced that utility man Dylan Moore signed a minor league deal on their X account on Feb. 6. The deal will include an invite to spring training.

Moore, 33, made his MLB debut with the Seattle Mariners in 2019 and was designated for assignment on Aug 23., 2025. Moore has played every position on the diamond with the exception of catcher.
He was picked by the Texas Rangers on Aug. 26, 2025, and appeared in 18 games with them to end his 2025 season. Moore has 63 home runs, 198 RBIs, 118 stolen bases, and a slash line of .206/.310/.383 in 1,653 MLB at-bats.
Cubs Add Velasquez and Miller – The Chicago Cubs signed right-handed pitcher Vince Velasquez and infielder Owen Miller to minor league deals, according to the MLB.com transaction log on Feb. 6. Velasquez is a former second round pick by the Houston Astros in 2010. Velasquez, 33, is Mexican-American, and he last pitched in MLB with the Pirates in 2023.
Miller, 29, was a third-round pick by the San Diego Padres in 2018. He saw limited action with the Colorado Rockies last season, appearing in nine games.
Kyle Keller Is Shipping Up To Boston – The Boston Red Sox signed the highest potential minor league player of this past week, right-handed pitcher Kyle Keller. Keller, 32, could earn up to $1.9 million if he makes their MLB roster, according to the Athletic reporter Will Sammon, who broke the news on Feb. 3.
Reliever Kyle Keller and the Boston Red Sox are in agreement on a minor league contract with an invite to major league spring training, league sources said. Keller gets $1.9 million if in majors plus $500K performance bonuses. In NPB career (152 1/3 innings), he had a 2.42 ERA.

Keller is a former MLB pitcher, and he struggled in three seasons from 2019-21. He had an ERA of 5.83 in 46 ⅓ innings with the Miami Marlins, Angels, and Pittsburgh Pirates. Keller went to Nippon Professional Baseball in 2022 and has pitched the last four seasons in Japan. Last season with the Yomiuri Giants, he threw 46 ⅓ innings with 49 strikeouts, and an ERA of 3.11 out of the bullpen.
Madris Signs With St. Louis – The St. Louis Cardinals signed Caribbean Series hero Bligh Madris, 29, to a minor league deal on Feb. 6, according to the St. Louis Cardinals player development page on their X account. Madris is a left-handed-hitting first baseman and corner outfielder.

Madris hit a big two-run home run on Feb. 6 for Mexico Red (the Charros de Jalisco) against Puerto Rico (the Cangrejeros de Santurce) that changed the course of the game. The Charros de Jalisco went on to win the game 8-6 and advance to the finals of the Caribbean Series.
Padres Sign LVBP Finals MVP Cedeño – The San Diego Padres signed first baseman and outfielder Leandro Cedeño to a minor league deal, according to Jon Heyman on his X account on Feb. 5. Cedeño, 27, is Venezuelan and has spent his last three seasons in the NPB, along with playing in Liga Venezolana de Béisbol Profesional with the Leones del Caracas this winter.
He played with the Orix Buffaloes for two seasons and the Saitama Seibu Lions this past season. Cedeño had 31 home runs, 97 RBIs, and a slash line of .246/.297/.412 in 704 at-bats.
Dodgers Get Irving – The Los Angeles Dodgers signed right-handed pitcher Cole Irving to a minor league deal, according to Aram Leighton of Just Baseball Media on Feb. 1. The deal includes an invite to spring training.

Irvin, 32, spent last season in KBO with the Doosan Bears, where he pitched to a 4.48 ERA in 144 2/3 IP. Over parts of 6 MLB seasons (593 IP), Irvin owns a 4.54 ERA.

Irving, 32, spent last season in the Korea Baseball Organization with the Doosan Bears and has six years of MLB experience from 2019-2024. Irving last pitched in MLB with the Minnesota Twins in 2024, after he was designated for assignment by the Baltimore Orioles on Sept. 15, 2024.
Irving pitched 144 ⅔ with 128 strikeouts and an ERA of 4.48 in the KBO last season. In his MLB career, he has thrown 593 innings with 434 strikeouts and an ERA of 4.54.
Clevenger Headed To Pittsburgh – The Pittsburgh Pirates signed right-handed pitcher Mike Clevinger to a minor league deal, with an invite to spring training on Feb 4., according to the Pirates X account.

Clevinger, 35, has pitched in nine MLB seasons and has spent his last three seasons with the Chicago White Sox. He was released by the White Sox at the end of the 2025 season on Oct. 3. Clevinger made his debut with the Cleveland Indians in 2016 and was traded to the Padres on Aug. 31, 2020, in a deal that was headlined with a return of first baseman Josh Naylor.
Clevinger has pitched 809 ⅔ innings with 822 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.55 in his MLB career.
