The 2026 Serie de Las Americas will now be played from Feb. 6-13, 2026 in Caracas and La Guaira, Venezuela.
The dates of the event, which will feature teams representing Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Curacao, Nicaragua, Panama, and Venezuela, were moved for the second time in as many months, German Cartaya reported in a post on X.
Cartaya noted that the timing of the rescheduled tournament would allow the Liga Venezolana de Beisbol Profesional to complete its five-team, 16-game round robin by Jan. 25 and hold a best-of-seven championship series that would not overlap with the Serie de Las Americas. With the four-day suspension of the playoffs in the LVBP following the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro by the U.S. military on Jan. 3, the leagues playoff schedule was basically pushed back four days, forcing the rescheduling.
Serie de las Américas ⚾️ se realizará en Caracas/La Guaira del 6 al 13 de febrero, con 7 países.
Venezuela, Cuba, Panamá, Nicaragua, Colombia, Curazao y Argentina. Todos contra Todos, Semifinales y Final.
Estas fechas garantizarían Final LVBP a 7 juegos. Anuncio oficial pronto.

Originally planned to be held in Panama in late January, the event was moved to Venezuela in December and moved a week later to go head-to-head with the Caribbean Series. The Caribbean Series, which pits the champions of the four major Caribbean winter leagues against each other in the first week of February, was planned to be held in Caracas and La Guaira from Feb. 1-7, but was moved to Mexico as military tensions rose between Venezuela and the United States.
Organized by the Asociación de Ligas Profesionales de Beisbol de Las Americas, the Serie de Las Americas was first held in 2025, when Panama’s Aguilas Metropolitanas won the inaugural title over Nicaragua’s Leones de Leon 3-1 at Estadio Nacional Soberania in Managua, Nicaragua.
