On Wednesday, the field of teams for the 2026 Shriners Children’s College Showdown was revealed.
The invitational tournament will take place Feb, 13-15, 2026 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The field is home to the Texas Rangers in Major League Baseball.
Being played with six teams, half of the field is from the Southeastern Conference. The Arkansas Razorbacks, Oklahoma Sooners, and Vanderbilt Commodores will be a part of the action in Texas next February.
Arkansas was recently at Globe Life Field this season for neutral-site games against Kansas State, Michigan, and Texas Christian. They went 2-1 in those three games.
Texas Christian is also one of the teams in the 2026 Shriners Children’s College Showdown. The Horned Frogs lost to Arkansas in the game they played at Globe Life Field. However, they picked up a win on that same weekend against Michigan.
Oklahoma State is the lone returning team from this season’s event. At the 2025 Shriners Children’s College Showdown, they went 1-2. They lost to Clemson and Texas, but picked up a win against Louisville.
The final team that rounds out the field in the 2026 Shriners Children’s College Showdown is Texas Tech. The Red Raiders played in the Las Vegas Classic this season, where they lost to Texas and Washington but picked up a win over Illinois.
The Texas Longhorns won the 2025 Shriners Children’s College Classic, meaning next season’s event will feature a new winner.
