The teams from North and South America will have a little more to play for at the 2026 World Baseball Classic.
Two teams from the Americas, excluding the United States, will qualify for the 2028 Summer Olympics based on their performance at the 2026 World Baseball Classic, the World Baseball Softball Confederation announced on Monday.
The United States automatically gets an Olympic berth as the host country, and the two highest-placing teams from the Americas aside from the United States at the 2026 WBC will be awarded berths as well.
