The Pan American Baseball Confederation confirmed that Juan D. Arosemena Stadium will host the competition.
(Press Release; Pan American Baseball Confederation) – The Pan American Baseball Confederation confirmed that Group A will be played at Juan D. Arosemena Stadium in Panama City. The national teams of Mexico, Curaçao, Cuba, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela will compete starting November 13 in Panama City.
The schedule shows that the opening day will feature Mexico visiting Curaçao at 11:00 AM (local time), followed at 3:00 PM by Cuba visiting Nicaragua, and concluding at 7:00 PM with the Dominican Republic visiting Venezuela. Group B remains as originally announced, to be played at the Mariano Rivera Stadium in La Chorrera. It also kicks off on November 13th with Brazil visiting Colombia at 11:00 AM, followed at 3:00 PM by Puerto Rico visiting Argentina, and concluding at 7:00 PM with Panama visiting Canada. Each of the six teams will face each other from November 13th to 17th. The Super Round begins on November 19th, with the top three teams from each group competing for a spot among the top four. The top two teams from the Super Round will play for the gold medal and trophy, while the next two will compete for a place on the podium and the bronze medal, in the inaugural Copa América, which will be held entirely in Panama.
