Puerto Rico Announces its Team to Compete in the Copa América

The Puerto Ricans share Group B with Panama, Canada, Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina.

(Press Release; Pan American Baseball Confederation).- The Puerto Rican national team announced the 27-player roster that will compete in the 2025 Copa América.

The team will be coached by MLB MVP Juan González, who will be tasked with leading the team to the top of the tournament podium.

Puerto Rico is fielding fourteen pitchers: Luis Cruz, Héctor Hernández, Joshua Torres, Josué Serrano, Marvin Gorgas, Bryant Salgado, José Cruz, Rubén Ramírez, Gabriel Rodríguez, Jerryel Rivera, Miguel Ausúa, Jorhan Laboy, Sidney Duprey, and Joel Huertas.

The catchers will be Onix Vega and Samuel Hernández, while the infielders will be Yadiel Rivera, Jesmuel Valentín, Emmanuel García, Alexis Pantoja, Kenen Irizarry, Luis González, and Melvin Ortiz.

The outfielders will be Rubén Castro, Edgardo Villegas, Ezequiel Pagán, and Jan Hernández.

The tournament will take place from November 13th to 22nd, in which the top 12 players in the Americas will compete for the trophy.
