The day began with morning training sessions running from 9:00 to 18:00, combining skill development, teamwork, and on-field creativity. Pitchers, catchers, and fielders rotated through sessions focused on hitting, pitching, blocking, and situational drills, while the shadow coaches took part in a special workshop on “Let’s Talk Pitching” with Greta Cecchetti and Marjolein Merkx.
During their session, Greta and Marjolein shared valuable insights on planning the winter season, discussed pitching mechanics, and offered practical advice on how to solve specific issues coaches often face with their pitchers. The interactive format allowed coaches to ask questions and exchange experiences, making it a highlight of the morning program.
In the afternoon, players joined a combined practice that featured a hitting session with Paul, a short game workshop with Elisa and Marta, and offensive and defensive scrimmages led by Craig. The atmosphere in the gym was full of energy and focus, with players pushing their limits while supporting each other.
The evening brought one of the most anticipated moments of the camp — a panel discussion with all instructors and three Olympians: Greta Cecchetti, Elisa Cecchetti, and Marta Gasparotto. They shared their personal journeys to the Olympic Games, emphasizing how dedication, resilience, and clear goals can turn dreams into reality.
Marta shared how she came from a small town just three hours away from Sisak and worked her way up to becoming an Olympian — showing that great achievements can come from humble beginnings.
Their stories reminded everyone that opportunities are everywhere, and that commitment, teamwork, and self-belief are key to success — both on and off the field.
The day concluded with the traditional EBSCA Funtivity, bringing laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories to wrap up another amazing day of the camp.
