Brazil will be in Pool B with Great Britain, Italy, Mexico and the United States of America in the World Baseball Classic.
There have only ever been five players born in Brazil to reach the big leagues. Brazil does not have the same amount of big league talent that other teams in the World Baseball Classic have, but they have some interesting players who could help them go on an unexpected run. Pitcher Thyago Vieira is currently a free agent, but has played in 53 big league games. His fastball sits at 97.3 mph, but he also throws a sinker, slider and changeup.
A lot will have to go right for Brazil to make a run in the tournament. However, teams have gone on deep runs despite not having the most stacked roster in the past. Brazil went 3-1 at the World Baseball Classic Qualifiers in 2025 and will now look to make their mark on the actual tournament.
