Justin Lebron is poised to do big things at Alabama in 2026 after a huge season in 2025.
This past season, he established his name with numerous accolades. He was named second team All-SEC and a second team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
Perfect Game and the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) also gave the Crimson Tide’s shortstop All-American honors.
During the 2025 season, Lebron had a .318 batting average, a .421 on-base percentage, 18 doubles, 18 home runs, and 72 RBI.
He was also a great defender in the field. Lebron was named to the SEC’s All-Defensive team as he had 103 putouts last season.
According to a way-too-early mock draft by MLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo, Lebron stacks up as a potential top five pick in the 2026 MLB Draft.
The 2026 Draft class features tons of talent at the shortstop position. This includes UCLA’s Roch Cholowsky and high school prospects Jacob Lombard and Grady Emerson.
A top five selection would be a historically high pick in the history of Alabama baseball. The Crimson Tide have had just two top five picks ever in their history. Those players were Randy Hunt in 1981 and Pete Roberts in 1986.
In 2025, Alabama finished the season 41-18 overall. They were 16-14 in SEC play.
For the third straight season, they made the NCAA Tournament and were the two-seed in the Hattiesburg regional.
The Crimson Tide lost both games they played in the NCAA Tournament against the Miami Hurricanes and Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
