Before the 2026 MLB Draft, head coach Tim Corbin and the Vanderbilt Commodores have put together the number one high school recruiting class in the country, according to Perfect Game.
Vanderbilt has 23 prospects committed to play college baseball in Nashville. A total of 12 out of those 23 prospects are ranked in Perfect Game’s top 100.
Here are some of the high school players committed to Vanderbilt you should know about.
Top Ten MLB Draft Prospect Eric Booth Jr. committed to Vandy
Vanderbilt’s highest-ranked high school commit is Eric Booth Jr. He is an outfielder who just wrapped up his high school career playing for Oak Grove High School in Bassfield, Miss.
It is unlikely Booth Jr. makes it to Nashville to play for the Commodores. According to MLB Pipeline, he is the sixth overall prospect for the 2026 MLB Draft.
He is also the third-highest-ranked high school prospect in the draft, behind Grady Emerson (No. 1) and Jacob Lombard (No. 5). Emerson committed to the Texas Longhorns, and Lombard committed to the Miami Hurricanes.
Booth is fourth in the country in Perfect Game’s rankings for the 2026 high school class.
Top ten high school prospect Aiden Ruiz committed to Vanderbilt
The second-highest prospect in Vanderbilt’s 2026 recruiting class is Aiden Ruiz. He is a shortstop prospect from The Stony Brook School in Queens, N.Y.
Ruiz is Perfect Game’s number nine overall player in the 2026 high school class. Much like Booth Jr., he is projected high in the 2026 MLB Draft. MLB Pipeline has him ranked as the number 32 prospect in the draft class.
This makes Ruiz a likely first-round pick in Competitive Balance Round A. Therefore, it will be very difficult for the Commodores to get him to campus.
Tennessee Prospect Noah Wilson committed to the ‘Dores
Noah Wilson is one of seven players in Vanderbilt’s 2026 high school class from the state of Tennessee. He is an outfielder prospect from Ooltewah, Tenn., and played high school baseball for McCallie High School.
According to MLB Pipeline, Wilson sneaks just inside the top 100 rankings for prospects in the 2026 MLB Draft at 94th overall. This has him projected toward the backend of the third round.
Although it will be tough, Vanderbilt does have a shot at bringing Wilson to campus. Being a player from the Volunteer State may be a draw, leading him to play for Vanderbilt.
There have been players picked higher than the tail end of the third round that have gone the college route as well.
Other Tennessee high school players committed to Vanderbilt
Besides Wilson, the six other players committed to play for Vanderbilt include…
- Bo Holloway, LHP, Nolensville High School, Nolensville, Tenn.
- Gunner Skelton, SS/3B, Columbia Academy, Columbia, Tenn.
- Collin Bland, 1B/OF, Houston High School, Memphis, Tenn.
- Jameson Napper, LHP/1B/OF/UTL, Grace Christian Academy, Thompson Station, Tenn.
- Michael Holt, OF/1B, Ravenwood High School, Brentwood, Tenn.
- Brody Carr, LHP/OF, Jefferson County High School, Dandridge, Tenn.
