Tommy Edman is currently in search of his second World Series title with the Los Angeles Dodgers as they face off in a tied series with the Toronto Blue Jays.

This postseason, Edman has 13 hits, two home runs, and seven RBI. Game 5 of the 2025 World Series will be his 45th career postseason game.

Before his Major League Baseball career, Edman resided in the state of California, playing college baseball with the Stanford Cardinal.

Edman played three seasons with Stanford from 2014 through 2016. He finished with a career .281 batting average, 177 career hits, 31 career doubles, and 71 career RBI.

In his junior season with Stanford in 2016, he was first-team All-Pac-12 and a member of the All-Pac-12 Defensive team.

During his freshman season in 2014, he helped lead Stanford to a super regional where they played the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Vanderbilt defeated the Cardinal in that super regional in three games. The Commodores would then go on to win their first-ever national championship.

Despite that, Edman had a great run in the 2014 NCAA Tournament. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the Bloomington regional. This came after he hit a walk-off home run against the Indiana Hoosiers that allowed the Cardinal to advance to the Nashville super regional.

Edman was selected in the sixth round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals with the 196th overall pick.
