Aaron Judge Reaches 50 Home Runs: One Thing From Each MLB Game

Aaron Judge hit home run No. 50 on the season to join a historic list of power hitters as the Yankees blew out Colorado. Here’s everything you missed from yesterday in the MLB.

Yankees 10, Rockies 3

  • Aaron Judge hit home runs No. 50 and 51 in the last game of the series against Colorado to aid the Yankees in a series win. Judge became the fifth player in league history with three 50-homer seasons. Gleyber Torres drove in four runs for New York in the win. 

Nationals 5, Braves 1

  • The Nationals avoided the sweep by Atlanta thanks to a three-run seventh inning that gave the Nats the lead. Keibert Ruiz scored on a wild pitch to start the seventh and proved to be the winning run for Washington.

Diamondbacks 7, Red Sox 5

  • A three-run fifth inning set up a three-run homer from Eugenio Suarez that gave the Diamondbacks the lead in the sixth for their sixth straight win. Arizona completed their second straight series sweep thanks to Merrill Kelly allowing four runs in six innings.

Pirates 4, Reds 3

  • Yasmani Grandal hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning to win the game for Pittsburgh and take three out of four against the Reds. The Pirates held a two-run lead before surrendering the lead to Cincinnati in the seventh but came away on top.

Blue Jays 8, Angels 2

  • The Blue Jays completed the four-game sweep of the Angels and held Los Angeles to three hits in the final game. Addison Barger and Alejandro Kirk both hit two-run homers, and Vlad Guerrero had two RBIs to push past the Angels. Kevin Gausman allowed one run and had ten strikeouts in seven innings.

Guardians 4, Rangers 2 

  • Jhonkensy Noel homered in the second for the second straight game to help Cleveland win the series against the World Series champs. Matthew Boyd picked up his first win since 2023 after a six-inning outing where he allowed one run on three hits.

Marlins 7, Cubs 2 

  • The Marlins snapped their five-game losing streak and avoided the sweep thanks to a three-hit day, including a homer from Connor Norby. A four-run inning in the eighth from Miami grew the lead and helped the NL’s worst team come away with the win.

Phillies 11, Royals 3 

  • Kyle Schwarber and Alec Bohm drove in three runs for the Phillies to win the series against the playoff-contending Royals. Kolby Allard allowed two runs on eight hits across five innings. Kansas City trails the Guardians by three games for the AL Central lead.

Tigers 9, White Sox 4

  • Detroit won their third straight game and handed the White Sox their 100th loss of the season after a three-run fifth inning gave the Tigers the lead. Andy Ibanez drove in the tiebreaking run after reaching on a fielder’s choice in the fifth. Ibanez and rookie Colt Keith both had three RBIs in the win.

Cardinals 3, Twins 2

  • Lars Nootbaar singled in the ninth inning to provide the winning runs for the Cardinals in the final game of the series in Minnesota. Erick Fedde struck out seven and allowed one run in six innings. St.Louis has won four of their last five and is five games out of an NL wild-card spot.

A’s 4, Brewers 3 

  • Oakland avoided the three-game sweep from the Brewers after scoring all four runs in the fourth inning. The A’s first five batters in the fourth reached base and ended on a Zack Gelof sacrifice fly that proved to be the winning run.

Dodgers 3, Rays 1 

  • Mookie Betts gave the Dodgers the lead in the eighth with a two-run homer, his third since returning from injury, and helped Los Angeles pick up their sixth win in the last seven. Kiké Hernandez hit a home run for the second straight game to open the scoring in the fifth.

Padres 3, Mets 2

  • Jurickson Profar hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to tie the game at two before Jackson Merrill won the game for San Diego on a solo home run in the ninth. The Padres split the four-game series against the playoff-hopeful Mets. New York trails the Braves by two and a half games for the final wild-card spot.

Mariners 4, Giants 3

  • Mitch Haniger and Josh Rojas drove in runs in the sixth inning to give Seattle the lead and put them on top to win the series. Bryan Woo allowed one run and had seven strikeouts in seven innings to pick up the win.

Astros 6, Orioles 3 

  • Alex Bregman and Yainer Diaz hit back-to-back homers in the seventh inning to break the tie and give Houston the lead. Yusei Kikuchi allowed three runs in five and two-thirds to help the Astros split the four-game series. Houston remained at the top of the AL West, while the Orioles dropped to a game and a half back in the AL East.
