The MLB provides fans with exciting games nightly. Here’s everything you missed last night across the MLB.
Phillies 4 Diamondbacks 1
Christopher Sanchez dealt seven innings of three-hit ball and allowed no run. A two-run single from David Dahl in the sixth inning provided the Phillies the cushion needed to come away with the win.
Braves 3 Yankees 1
Jared Kelenic went deep and drove in another crucial run off a sacrifice fly. Max Fried allowed one run and six hits in six innings of work. The Braves have won eight of ten, Yankees have lost three series in a row.
Rays 3 Pirates 1
Yandy Diaz homered off the first pitch he saw from Paul Skenes. Skenes settled in afterward and struck out eight while allowing just six hits through seven innings. Rays pitching prevented the Pirates from ever getting going, allowing just three hits.
Guardians 6 Blue Jays 5
The teams showcased their power, combining for five home runs. In the latter innings, the Guardians slowed the Blue Jays’ offense to pull away the win. Emmanuel Clase recorded save number twenty-four, second-best in the MLB.
Tigers 11 White Sox 2
The Tigers jumped White Sox starter Johnathon Cannon, scoring nine runs in the first two innings. Detroit hit four balls out of Comerica Park, including number fifteen in the season from Riley Greene. Reese Olson went six and a third, allowing only two runs on four hits.
Red Sox 7 Reds 4
The Red Sox used eight pitchers but got the job done against the Reds. Refsynder and Wong went deep to help Boston win.
Marlins 6 Mariners 4
The Marlins scored all six runs in the first three innings thanks to homers by Nick Gordon and Jesus Sanchez. Bryce Miller struggled, allowing all six runs through four innings of work.
Astros 8 Orioles 1
Four runs in the first by the Astros proved to be all Houston needed in this game. Framber Valdez pitched seven innings, allowing one earned run with seven strikeouts.
Cardinals 5 Giants 3
Sonny Gray allowed one run on one hit through seven innings. He struck out eight. St. Louis strung together eleven hits, including two from Alec Burleson.
Rangers 4 Royals 0
Max Scherzer made his season debut for the defending champs, pitching five innings of scoreless ball. The Royals amassed just two hits on Rangers Josh Smith hit a home run in his second straight game.
Nationals 2 Rockies 1
The Nationals scored two in the top of the ninth to squeak out a win. Lane Thomas and Joey Meneses drove in the final two runs to put Washington on top. Jake Irvin struck out ten in six innings for the Nats.
Twins 3 Athletics 0
Pablo Lopez tied his career high with fourteen strikeouts through eight innings. Lopez allowed two two Byron Buxton drove in two runs including a homer in the second.
Brewers 6 Padres 2
The Brewers scored five in the second and totaled fourteen hits to avoid a fourth straight loss. Tobias Myers allowed one run on five hits in his five innings of work.
Mets 5 Cubs 2
Three Mets went deep to help lead them over Chicago in the series’ final game. Luis Severino stuck out ten and allowed three hits in six innings.
