The Panama City Aguilas Metropolitans, managed by Sebastián Arroyo, defeated Boca del Toro y Colon Atlanticos in five games to win the Panama Professional Baseball League (PROBEIS).
With the the best-of-five series tied at two, Agulas and Atlanticos took an 8-8 tie into the rubber’s match 10th inning. Yeremy Lezcano squeezed in Ohashi Jumpei with the bases loaded to score the go-ahead run. Carlos Xavier Quiroz followed with a three-RBI double to give the Aguilas their first title.
Reliever Antonio Teidín Frías earned the win. Jumpei went 3-for-3 for the Aguilas.
