One of college baseball’s most overlooked players in 2025 was Central Florida’s Andrew Williamson.
Last season with the Knights, the right fielder posted a .352 batting average, an on-base percentage of .448, and a 1.110 OPS, along with 19 doubles, 13 home runs, and 53 RBI.
In short, Williamson was a huge catalyst for the UCF offense. He was second on the team in batting average and led the Knights in doubles, home runs, and RBI.
Williamson is also a great defender in the outfield. In his two total seasons with the Knights, he has a fielding percentage of .995 and just one error.
Summer Spent in the 2025 Cape Cod League
Williamson spent his summer playing in the Cape Cod League for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. In 49 at-bats, he was able to contribute to some scoring for his team.
Williamson had 13 hits and scored 13 runs. He also had three doubles, three home runs, and 12 RBI.
The UCF outfielder was also able to steal a fair amount of bases during Cape Cod League play. In 15 games with Hyannis, he stole six bases.
This is a quality of Williamson’s game that can be improved heading into his junior season in Orlando. In comparison to the six bases he stole in the Cape Cod League, Williamson has seven total steals in two seasons at UCF.
