Club Daom, the champions of Argentina, have announced their roster for the 2026 Serie de las Américas.
On the mound, one of the leaders will be Juan Borras. He pitched for Club Daom at last year’s Serie de las Américas in Nicaragua, starting against Caimanes de Barranquilla. Borras went 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run while striking out four to help lead Club Daom to a historic upset of the Colombian powerhouse. This past season in Argentina, he posted a 2.23 ERA with 58 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings and is expected to be one of the club’s top starters.
Yaferson López is another starter to watch. The Venezuelan left-hander pitched in the Czech Extraliga and in Argentina during the 2025 season. In Czechia, he recorded a 2.80 ERA in 22 appearances, including 17 starts, and led the league with 155 strikeouts — 58 more than the second-place finisher. In Argentina, López went 1.63 with 67 strikeouts in 38 2/3 innings for the Falcons de Córdoba. He is expected to serve as Club Daom’s ace.
At the plate, infielder Agustín Tissera is one of the top hitters to watch. He hit .382/.517/.662 with four home runs and 20 RBIs, finishing second in home runs, second in OPS and fourth in RBIs.
Shortstop Angel Rojas is another key contributor. He hit .410/.500/.623 with two home runs and 18 RBIs. His .410 batting average ranked second in the league.
Right fielder Pedro Amma served as the table-setter for the Patriots de Buenos Aires offense this past season and is expected to fill that role again for Daom. He hit .372/.518/.605 with two home runs and six RBIs in 15 games as the Patriots’ leadoff hitter.
Club Daom will open the tournament Feb. 5 against the champions of Curaçao and will face the LVBP representative on Feb. 6, with both games in Caracas. Daom will play Cuba on Feb. 7 and Caimanes de Barranquilla on Feb. 9, both in La Guaira. They face Leones de León, the champions of Nicaragua, on Feb. 10 in La Guaira and close round-robin play Feb. 11 against Águilas Metropolitanas in Caracas. The top four teams advance to the semifinals in Caracas on Feb. 12, with the championship game scheduled for Feb. 13.
