The Arizona Wildcats are coming off a great 2024 season that saw head coach Chip Hale bring home Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors. The team won the final Pac-12 tournament and regular season championships and hosted an NCAA Regional in Tucson.
Before the Wildcats look to repeat similar fortunes in 2025. They will play in three fall exhibition games in Tuscon during October. On Thursday, Oct. 3, they will play Naranjeros de Hermosillo from the Liga de Mexicana del Pacifico. They were the league champions a season ago and it will be an awesome battle for Arizona to have in a scrimmage matchup. The game will be at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium which plays host to the Tuscon Saguaros in the Pecos League. The game does not yet have a first pitch time.
The next exhibition for the Wildcats will be back at their home in Hi Corbett Field against Pima Community College. They play out of Tuscon as well as their campus is a mere 15 minutes from the University of Arizona. That game will be at 11:00 a.m. M.S.T. on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Their final exhibition game will be against Central Arizona College at Hi Corbett Field. They are in the same conference as Pima as they play in Coolidge, Ariz. That game will be on Friday, Oct. 18, at 1:00 p.m. M.S.T.
The Wildcats will play their first season in the Big XII Conference in 2025.
These three games are a unique set of exhibition action for Arizona as they give the JUCO programs in the state a chance at playing a big opponent. The game against Naranjeros de Hermosillo is also a great way to get some great action from one of Mexico’s best professional teams and a talented college baseball team. That will be a must-see matchup for any international baseball fan and even baseball fans in general.
