On Saturday, Arkansas’ Kuhio Aloy won the Cape Cod League Home Run Derby.

He was one of six players in the contest. The other five players were Georgia’s Dan Jackson, Florida’s Brendan Lawson, Arkansas’ Maika Niu, Arizona’s Easton Breyfogle, and Texas’ Carson Tinney.

The other two players who finished as finalists in the event were Tinney and Breyfogle.

Aloy, with four dingers, beat out Breyfogle’s three home runs to wind up winning the derby.

In the Cape Cod League this year, Aloy has a .333 batting average and two home runs for the Bourne Braves. He also has been putting runs on the scoreboard with 13 runs scored and 13 RBIs as well.

Aloy with Arkansas in 2025 – Kuhio Aloy spent the 2025 college baseball season with the Arkansas Razorbacks. He had a .317 batting average, a .404 on-base percentage, 13 home runs, and 70 RBIs.

He was one of the top hitters on an Arkansas team that went to the 2025 College World Series.

He was also named first-team All-SEC along with three other Arkansas players: Wehiwa Aloy, Charles Davalan, and Zach Root.

Aloy will play on the West team for the Cape Cod League All-Star Game. Along with him, Niu is the other Arkansas representative in the league’s all-star game.

Aloy’s big season in the Cape Cod League makes him one of Arkansas’ premier hitters going into 2026.
