The Arkansas Razorbacks have played great baseball as of late. A 6-3 win over the Georgia Bulldogs on April 16 was their sixth win in a row.
The last time the Razorbacks lost was on April 4 against Auburn.
World Baseball Network takes a look at this six-game win streak for Arkansas.
Arkansas swept a hot Alabama team
Heading into a weekend series against Arkansas, the Alabama Crimson Tide had won 10 of their last 12 games.
On the other hand, the Razorbacks had been reeling a bit with series losses to both Auburn and Florida. Arkansas was also defeated by Missouri State in a midweek battle that came in between those two series.
Arkansas went on to sweep the Crimson Tide on the road in Tuscaloosa. The sweep included an impressive 15-run performance by the Razorbacks on Saturday, April 11. In that game, Arkansas had 14 hits and stormed away from Alabama with 10 runs in the eighth and ninth innings.
Two midweek wins over in-state mid-major teams
Along with four Southeastern Conference (SEC) wins during this streak, the Razorbacks picked up two midweek wins against two mid-major teams from the state of Arkansas.
On April 7, they shut out the Little Rock Trojans 7-0 at Baum-Walker Stadium. On April 14, they defeated the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions in North Little Rock 12-2. That game ended after seven innings by way of a run rule.
Kuhio Aloy, Nolan Souza, and Cam Kozeal all had multi-hit performances against the Golden Lions during that win.
Up next for the Razorbacks
The Arkansas Razorbacks now have a 26-13 overall record. They are also 9-7 in SEC play.
The Razorbacks have a chance to win a second-straight SEC series on Friday, April 17. They will play the Georgia Bulldogs at Baum-Walker Stadium in Fayetteville. The first pitch is at 6 p.m. ET.
