Sunday’s slate of games in Major League Baseball gave fans the second cycle of the year and the longest home run thus far. Here’s everything you missed from yesterday in the MLB.

Brewers 8, Twins 7The Brewers swept the two-game series in Minnesota thanks to a two-run homer from Rhys Hoskins in the eighth inning. Milwaukee has won three straight.

Rays 6, Yankees 4 – Four home runs helped the Rays win the series against the Yankees after losing the first game. Aaron Judge went deep for home run No. 35 in a losing effort. New York continues to struggle, having now lost 20 of their last 29 games.

Cardinals 6, Braves 2 – The Cardinals won the series thanks to four home runs including one from Paul Goldschmidt. Alec Burleson also went deep giving him six straight games with an RBI, one game shy of the Cardinals record.

Nationals 5, Reds 2 – Rookie James Wood hit a three-run homer with two outs in the eighth to break the tie and push the Nationals on top. Wood has two home runs since his MLB debut on July 1. The win concluded a three-game sweep for Washington to begin the second half.

Phillies 6, Pirates 0 – Tyler Phillips allowed four hits in six innings of work in his second MLB start to help Philadelphia avoid a three-game sweep. The Phillies stalled Pittsburgh’s six-game win streak and ended a three-game slide of their own.

Blue Jays 5, Tigers 4 – Toronto took the lead in the sixth inning on a single by Ernie Clement. The Blue Jays avoided the sweep from Detroit and ended the Tigers four-game win streak.

Padres 2, Guardians 1 – Padres starter Michael King took a no-hit bid into the seventh before it was broken up by Angel Martinez’ bloop single. Kyle Higashioka drove in two runs on a double in the second to push San Diego to the victory.

Marlins 4, Mets 2 – Miami scored all four runs via home runs and pushed their record to 5-4 against the Mets this season. Marlins pitching struck out 14 Mets.

Royals 4, White Sox 1 – All-Star Seth Lugo dished his first career complete game to guide Kansas City to the win. Lugo retired 14 straight batters during his start. The Royals finished the three-game sweep of Chicago, their sixth sweep of the season.

Cubs 2, Diamondbacks 1 – Seiya Suzuki drove in the tying run and Nico Hoerner walked with the bases loaded to give Chicago the win in the bottom of the ninth. Cubs All-Star Shota Imanaga struck out a career-high ten batters and gave up two hits in seven innings. Chicago avoided the three-game sweep from Arizona.

Rangers 3, Orioles 2 – Texas won the final game of the series to avoid being swept thanks to Jonah Heim’s three-run homer in the fourth. Anthony Santander hit home run No. 27 in the eighth, but it wasn’t enough to complete the rally.

Giants 3, Rockies 2 – Jorge Soler led off the game with a 478-foot home run, the longest in the MLB this season. Giants rookie Hayden Birdsong struck out a career high 12 hitters to help San Francisco win the final game of the series.

Angels 8, A’s 5 – The Angels won the final game after dropping the first two games of the series. The Halos rallied from five down scoring five in the eighth before Logan O’Hoppe scored the winning run on a wild pitch.

Mariners 6, Astros 4 – Yordan Alvarez hit for the cycle in a losing effort against Seattle. Alvarez is the first international player to hit for the cycle since his teammate Jose Altuve did so last season. The Mariners went deep twice to avoid the three-game sweep.

Dodgers 9, Red Sox 6 –  Shohei Ohtani hit a massive home run, his 30th this season, one of six the Dodgers hit in the win to march past Boston and earn a sweep of the three-game series. Home Run Derby winner Teoscar Hernandez added a home run of his own as the Dodgers hit six homers in a game for the first time since 2022.
