Irish finished his three-year career at Auburn with a .350 batting average and a .435 on-base percentage.
The home run hitting became a big part of the Auburn Tiger’s game in 2025. He had 19 long balls in 2025 which was the most by an Auburn player and ranked him top ten in the SEC.
Irish has also been solid defensively his entire collegiate career. He has a career fielding percentage of .987, recording only seven errors in three years.

Caden Bodine was the 2025 Buster Posey award winner as the best catcher in college baseball.
In three seasons with Coastal Carolina, Bodine had a .317 batting average, 55 doubles, 25 home runs, and 160 RBI.
Much like Irish, Bodine is also a great defensive catcher with a career fielding percentage of .995 and just seven errors in three seasons.
In 2025, Bodine helped lead the Chanticleers to a Sun Belt regular season and tournament title. He was a part of a team that went to the College World Series for just the second time in program history and finished the season as national runners-up to the LSU Tigers.
Baltimore’s Other College Baseball Draft Picks
After picking Irish and Bodine, the Orioles also selected multiple other college baseball players. They picked the 2025 Golden Spikes winner in Wehiwa Aloy, along with Michigan State’s Joseph Dzierwa, Georgia’s JT Quinn, and Vanderbilt’s RJ Austin.
