Baseball European Federation Cup 2025 – Group Sweden

The Baseball European Federation Cup held in Sweden ended with the Essex Arrows of Great Britain defeating the Stockholm Monarchs of Sweden 6-1 in the finals. The Arrows will now be elevated to the 2026 Baseball European Cup, which is the second-tier tournament in Europe. 

The Arrows went 4-1 in the tournament. Their only loss came to the Monarchs in the opener, 10-7. In the Arrows’ next three games, they outscored their opponents by a combined 26 runs. Meanwhile, the Monarchs did not lose a game until the final against the Arrows. 

The Arrows’ offense was a highlight of the tournament. The registered 51 hits, 37 RBIs and a .354 batting average in four games. Angel Perez was named tournament MVP. He hit .529/1.000/.600 in five games. He recorded five extra-base hits and was one of five players to hit a home run in the entire tournament. 

Other notable performances included the Monarchs’ Glimmerud Tobias, who posted a .667 batting average. Switzerland’s Michael Miceli Nicholas recorded a 0.00 ERA in 8 1/3 innings 

With the Monarchs finishing in second, the rest of the standings had the Zurich Barracudas in third, the Vålerenga Baseball in fourth and Mariners Baseball in fifth. The Mariners went winless in four games.  

The other group of the Baseball Federation Cup was held in Slovenia, where one more team was elevated into the 2026 Baseball European Cup. Meanwhile, two new teams will join the Baseball Federation Cup based on their finishes in the 2025 Baseball Federation Cup Qualifiers, held in Poland and Norway.
