Baseball Federations of Curaçao and Aruba Announce Partnership

The Baseball Federations of Curaçao and Aruba have agreed to partner on an ambitious baseball project centered on equality and community.

The plan includes joint training sessions and yearly inter-country matches between the national teams. The partnership also includes coaching exchanges, youth clinics, and potential tournaments.

The two will also work to develop an ARCU Champions League, which will pit the best teams from both leagues against each other.

The federations are exploring the potential of participating under one name in tournaments like the World Baseball Classic and the Olympics.

“This would be a fantastic way to honor our legendary heroes and showcase our skills,” the organizations said in a shared statement.

They believe this collaboration will help with sponsorships and potential revenue from global tournaments.

Talent has come from Curaçao in recent years. Former top prospect Jurickson Profar, born in Curaçao, recently started in the National League All-Star game. Jurrangelo Cijntje, also born in Curaçao, was selected fifteenth in this year’s MLB Draft after two seasons at Mississippi State.
