The opening ceremony, hosted by TV JOJ presenter Thomas Puskailer, set a lively and positive tone. Special guests included Czech national team players Kateřina Petroušková and Anička Pavlíková, who inspired the girls with their presence, as well as Bohumil Bílek, Sports Director of the prestigious SuperCup, and Martin Čerňák, President of the Slovak Baseball Federation. The highlight of the ceremony came when former MLB pitcher Murphy Smith (Toronto Blue Jays) threw the ceremonial first pitch.
A high-quality umpire crew — Alessia Cicconi, Roman Matulík, and Mojmír Jankovič — ensured professional officiating throughout the event, supported by young aspiring female umpires who gained their first on-field experience.
Saturday featured group-stage games filled with determination and impressive effort. On Sunday, inter-group matchups and elimination games brought exciting baseball and emotional moments. A popular raffle added to the fun for families. The final between Bratislava Panthers (enhanced by Lithuanian players) and the Trnava Panthers delivered an electrifying atmosphere, with drums, cheering fans, and exceptional plays. The Bratislava Panthers & Lithuania team triumphed after a dramatic and emotional finish.
Throughout the weekend, the joy and enthusiasm of the players never faded. Parents, volunteers, and organizers created a supportive environment where every girl felt welcome and confident. Despite different languages, everyone communicated effortlessly through the shared spirit of baseball.
The next edition will take place in just a few months at the May tournament in Bratislava — and expectations are already high for another unforgettable event.
