Baseball United has partnered with Tokyo Broadcasting System on a reality series that will give up and coming Japanese baseball prospects a chance to play in Baseball United. The series will be called “Tryout: Plan D.”
The competition will start in July, with tryouts, and will end in November just before the start of the inaugural Baseball United season. The series will follow the journey of these aspiring athletes as hundreds of players will compete for two roster spots on Baseball United’s Mid-East Falcons. The winners of the competition will go from being unknown prospects to teammates with the likes of Italian baseball legend Alex Liddi and Major League Baseball World Series MVP Pablo Sandoval.

Tryout will be airing on Friday nights on Tokyo Broadcasting System in collaboration with additional content released on Baseball United’s social platforms. The two winners will be introduced to the crowd before the Mid-East Falcons play the Karachi Monarchs, on Nov. 19.
This show will allow fans to get an inside look at not only players realizing their dream of playing professionally, but also into the start of Baseball United. Baseball United was founded in November 2022 with a mission to grow baseball in the Middle East and consists of four different franchises. The league has already hosted a two-day Arab Classic and the Baseball United UAE series within the past year to promote and preview the league’s upcoming season.
All games will be played at Baseball United Ballpark in Dubai.
“Tryout” will be broadcasted on Tokyo Broadcasting System starting in July.
