The Baseball5 World Cup Tournament began on October 7 and will run until October 12. The tournament is taking place this year in Hong Kong. The schedule for the Super Round along with the Placement Round were announced.
Cuba, Venezuela, and Chinese Taipei have confirmed spots in the Super Round from Group A. Japan, France, and Mexico also have confirmed spots in Group B.
For the Placement Round, the teams that will be included there will be Lithuania, Hong Kong, South Africa, Tunisia, and Australia.
The teams joining the Super Round will now face undefeated Cuba. Cuba, the defending champions, booked their spot in the Super Round on October 8.
For the Placement Round, the day will begin with Australia squaring off against South Africa at 9:30 AM EST. The first Super Round game will follow the Placement Round game, with Chinese Taipei and Mexico playing at 10 AM EST.
On Thursday, the 2022 final will have a rematch, with Cuba facing Japan at 1 PM EST. Both the Super and Placement Rounds will go over Friday and before Saturday, with the Medal games set to take place at 3 PM EST and 6 PM EST.
