The inaugural edition of the Blind Baseball European Championship, held in Bologna, Italy, brought together five teams in a memorable competition that marked a milestone for the sport.
Blind Baseball has since grown in prominence, as evidenced by the 2024 Blind Baseball International Cup in London, which featured a record eight teams representing Cuba, Italy, Pakistan, Great Britain, the United States, China, the Netherlands, and Hungary.
