After the 2025 Big 12 Tournament at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas concludes, the conference is moving its postseason event westward.

On Monday, the Big 12 sent a press release stating that the conference’s baseball tournament will be moved to Surprise, Ariz., at Surprise Stadium. The venue has hosted MLB spring training for the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers and has a capacity of 10,500.

Prior to this move, the Big 12 Tournament has gone back-and-forth between Arlington and Oklahoma City as its host site. The event has been played at Globe Life Field, home of Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers, since 2022.

Senior Vice President of REV Entertainment (the Big 12 Tournament’s operating partner) Jared Schrom commented on this new chapter of one of college baseball’s big events.

Bringing the Big 12 Baseball Championship to Surprise Stadium represents an exciting new chapter in our partnership with the Big 12 Conference and the City of Surprise,” Schrom said. “We look forward to creating a new tradition in Arizona starting in 2026.”

The dates for next season’s tournament have been set for May 20-23, 2026.

Up Next – The 2025 Big 12 Tournament is being played this week with West Virginia as the number one overall seed.

The first game at Globe Life Field will be between the Brigham Young Cougars and Arizona State Sun Devils. The first pitch for that matchup on Wednesday, May 21, is scheduled for 10 a.m. EDT.

The winner of that matchup will play the Arizona Wildcats on May 22.
