Blue Jays Single-A Affiliate Walk Their Way Into History

The Toronto Blue Jays Single-A affiliate, the Dunedin Blue Jays, have set a full-season Minor League Baseball Record against the Jupiter Hammerheads, the Miami Marlins Single-A affiliate, by walking 22 times in their 19-5 victory.

All nine batters for the Blue Jays drew walks, and all but Yhoangel Aponte walked multiple times. In the third inning, the Blue Jays worked walks with the bases loaded to score two runs. Four more runs were walked in in the fourth inning. The Blue Jays managed to get nine hits in the game, four of which came with runners in scoring position.

Every pitcher for Jupiter issued at least three walks except Juan Reynoso, who did not issue a free pass in his two innings of work.
