On Tuesday, the field of four teams for the 2026 Round Rock Classic was revealed. The event will take place at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas, from February 20-22.
The four teams in the event include the Oregon State Beavers, Southern Miss Golden Eagles, Purdue Boilermakers, and Baylor Bears.
Oregon State will arguably be the headlining team of the 2026 Round Rock Classic. The Beavers played in the event this past season and went 1-2. They defeated the Virginia Cavaliers but lost to the Oklahoma Sooners and Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Oregon State made the College World Series in 2025 after going 48-16-1 overall. They were a regional and super regional host in Corvallis as the number eight overall national seed.
The Beavers won just one game during the 2025 College World Series against the Louisville Cardinals.
Southern Miss will be a part of the Round Rock Classic field as well. Much like Oregon State, they were a regional host in the 2025 NCAA Tournament as the number 16 overall national seed.
It was the ninth-straight season Southern Miss made the NCAA Tournament.
The Golden Eagles went 47-16 overall and were 24-6 in Sun Belt play this past season.
Purdue went 31-23 overall in 2025. They also had a Big Ten record of 11-19. With that conference record, they finished towards the bottom of the conference.
Only the Minnesota Golden Gophers and Ohio State Buckeyes had worse conference records in 2025.
Baylor will represent the state of Texas and the Big 12 conference in the Round Rock Classic next season.
In 2025, the Bears went 33-22 and were 13-17 in conference play.
They played in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series last season at Globe Life Field in Arlington. They defeated Ohio State, but lost to Oregon State and Auburn.
