The Milwaukee Brewers have just made an international free agency signing by giving Chang Tzu-Chun Lin a minor league contract, according to ETtoday’s Chen Lixun.
Lin is a 19-year-old right-handed pitcher who was expected to be a first-round pick in the upcoming Chinese Professional Baseball League Mid-Season Rookie Draft on June 30, but he has chosen not to register. Instead, he signed a minor-league deal with the Brewers with a $250,000 signing bonus. The Brewers have assigned him to the Dominican Summer League Brewers. Lin will now try to make his way from rookie ball up through the Brewers system.
Lin Chang Tzu-Chun is a temporary romanisation of his name using the Wade-Giles system. It could be Lin Zhang Zi-Jun, depending on which system he chooses.
Also, "Lin Chang" is his family name (double-barrel surname), though it's possible he may not use it in that form in MLB. pic.twitter.com/H3yuaBLpFp

The 19-year-old has touched 94 mph with his fastball. He graduated from Hsinchu City Chengde High School last year and was studying at Kainan University.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Seattle Mariners also reportedly made an offer to Lin, but he ended up signing with the Brewers. The Brewers have developed a reputation for developing pitching and will now get to work with Lin
