Cade Arrambide Hits Four Home Runs as LSU Wins the Weekend Series Against Tennessee in Knoxville

On Sunday, April 5, the LSU Tigers defeated the Tennessee Volunteers 16-6 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville. The win earned the Tigers the series victory over the Volunteers.

Cade Arrambide highlighted the big win on Sunday. The LSU sophomore had four home runs in the game against Tennessee. His final home run of the game was a grand slam in extra innings, which gave the Tigers a sizable lead.

Arrambide finished the game with five total hits and seven RBIs. It is by far his best game as a LSU Tiger.

Arrambide and his 2026 season with the Tigers

After the series win against Tennessee, Arrambide now has a .295 batting average this season. He has eight home runs on the season, with half of them coming during Sunday’s win. He also has 23 RBIs in 2026.

The Sunday game against Tennessee was his first multi-hit performance since March 15. That day, the sophomore catcher had two hits in a 16-9 win over Vanderbilt.

Arrambide is now up to six multi-hit games this season. He is truly showing signs of coming into form as a formidable collegiate player during his second season in Baton Rouge.

Up next for LSU

After two wins for the LSU Tigers in Knoxville, they now have a 22-11 overall record this season. The Tigers are 6-6 in conference play.

LSU has won back-to-back conference series over Kentucky and Tennessee.

Their next game is on Tuesday, April 7, against the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats. That game is at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, and the first pitch is at 7:30 p.m. ET.
