The North Americans will be in Group B, with games played at Mariano Rivera Stadium
(Press Release; Pan American Baseball Confederation) – The Canadian national team announced its roster for the Americas Cup, which the Pan American Baseball Confederation will hold in Panama.
Ernie Whitt will manage the Canadian team for the 22nd time, accompanied by a coaching staff that includes Denis Boucher, Tim Leiper, Greg Hamilton, and Chris Bregg.
The team will hold pre-tournament training sessions in Dunedin, Florida, at the Toronto Blue Jays’ player development complex from November 7-10.
The team will be comprised of veterans such as Ben Abram, Phillipe Aumont, Landen Bourassa, Kellin Deglan, Karl Gelinas, Jonathan Malo, Brandon Marklund, Scott Mathieson, Ben Onyshko, Connor Panas, Jordan Procyshen, Jacob Robson, Evan Rutckyj, Jake Sanford, and Jensen Therrien.
But joining this group of national team veterans are players like Harley Gollert, Evan Grills, Ryan Leitch, Nate Ochoa, and T.J. Schofield-Sam. Also on the roster are players such as Braeden Allemann, Bryce Arnold, David Mendham, Nick Troglic-Iverson, Mathieu Vallee, Matt Warkentin, and Christian Young.
