The Cape Cod League is the premier collegiate summer baseball league and was officially formed in 1923. The season is set to start on June 14.
The Cape Cod League is made up of ten teams. Each team will play 40 games in the regular season before an eight-team postseason. Last season, the Harwich Mariners won the championship after a 16-24 regular season. They went 5-1 in the postseason. The Cape Cod League has been home to many players who went on to play in Major League Baseball.
The Cape Cod League All-Star game will take place on July 19 at Red Wilson Field, home of the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox.
