The Taiwan Series is behind us, with the CTBC Brothers defeating the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions in five games. Now, the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) has announced several key dates for the upcoming 2025 season.
The CPBL season will begin on March 29, which will serve as opening day for all six teams. The All-Star Games will take place from July 19-20. As for the playoff series, those will begin on October 10-14, followed by the Taiwan Series to conclude the year from October 18–26.
It will be intriguing to see if more foreign players outside Taiwan will participate in the CPBL this upcoming season. This year, we saw Dominican-born left-hander Jose De Paula pitch for the CTBC Brothers, Puerto Rican-born outfielder/first-baseman Steven Moya, and Venezuelan pitchers Nivaldo Rodriguez and Enderson Franco, just to name a handful.
Opening Day will be here sooner than we can expect, as a lot will transpire between now and the start of the season. Make sure to follow along with World Baseball Network, as we will provide coverage on all news related to the CPBL between now and the start of the season.
