Last season, Auburn’s Chris Rembert stepped on the scene in a big way.
In his freshman season, Rembert was a first-team freshman All-American, second-team All-SEC, and a part of the SEC’s All-Freshman team.
He had a .344 batting average and a .467 on-base percentage. He had the second-best batting average and on-base percentage on the team behind Ike Irish.
Rembert also finished with 14 doubles, 10 home runs, and 46 RBIs.
He talked about his massive freshman season for the Tigers with World Baseball Network.
“My main goal was getting on the field every day and playing as hard as I could,” Rembert said. “The main objective in every game is just to win it. And I think that just helped me do the things I did.”
Rembert and Auburn’s Talented Sophomore Hitters
Rembert is a part of a sophomore class at Auburn that has a lot of talent.
In 2025, Chase Fralick had a big-time freshman year with a .335 batting average, an on-base percentage of .426, 17 doubles, and 41 RBIs.
Much like Rembert, Fralick was also a first-team freshman All-American.
Bub Terrell, Rembert’s roommate, was another talented freshman for Auburn in 2025. Terrell had a .300 batting average with 17 doubles and 41 RBIs. He was a part of the SEC’s All-Freshman team last season.
Rembert talked about the relationship with these two players and what they provide to Auburn baseball.
“All of us are pretty close,” Rembert said regarding Fralick and Terrell. “They’re just great players. Both Bub and Fralick are very electric hitters.”
‘Next Season is Personal’, A Look at the SEC Slate of Home Games
In 2025, Auburn’s season came to an end during a super regional they hosted at Plainsman Park. The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers defeated them in two straight games to move on to the College World Series.
A trip to Omaha is the clear goal for the Auburn Tigers in 2026. Rembert talked about how motivated the team is for this season.
“This year it is personal,” said Rembert. “We are going to go out and give it everything we have every single game.”
While trying to make it to the College World Series in 2026, the Tigers are going to play some tough SEC opponents at home in Plainsman Park.
From March 20-22, they will play the Texas Longhorns. Then, from April 2-4, they will host the Arkansas Razorbacks. A third tough SEC weekend series at home will be against the Georgia Bulldogs to end the season from May 14-16.
Rembert talked about the tough slate of SEC weekend series at home in 2026. He said that he looks at each contest as just another game, no matter the opponent.
“I don’t really look at them as the top dogs,” Rembert said regarding the tough SEC teams Auburn will be facing. “I look at it as another game and just go about it as so.”
He also talked about the great home atmosphere that the Tigers get to play in.
“Auburn is awesome,” Rembert said. “We have one of the best atmospheres in college baseball. I’m just looking forward to getting after it with my guys.”
