The college baseball transfer portal continues to ramp up. The Clemson Tigers have been a team that has landed some big names as of late.

In particular, head coach Erik Bakich has made sure to land some commitments from big-time hitters who were at mid-major schools in 2025.

Ty Dalley, 1B/OF, Mercer Bears – Ty Dalley spent the first three years of his college baseball career with the Mercer Bears. He proved to be a big-time power hitter early on.

He has 59 home runs in his career, which contributed to 188 career RBI.

Dalley was third in the Southern Conference on home runs and named first-team All-SOCON.

The solid power hitting from Dalley can be highly beneficial for Clemson. The Tigers were ranked 8th in the ACC in home runs. The former Mercer slugger could push them towards the top of the conference in power hitting.

Ryan Wideman, OF, Western Kentucky Hilltoppers – Ryan Wideman is a high-profile mid-major player who played with Western Kentucky in 2025.

With the Hilltoppers, the outfielder had a .398 batting average, a .466 on-base percentage, 10 home runs, and 68 RBI.

The great play from Wideman not only earned a spot as first-team All-Conference USA (C-USA), but it also won him C-USA Player of the Year.

Wideman was also a fabulous defender with only two errors all season and a .986 fielding percentage.

Big Pickups for Clemson – The additions of both Dalley and Wideman can potentially make Clemson’s lineup potent in 2026.

It is important to note that both players are draft eligible and may take the professional route if their name is called during the 2025 MLB Draft.
