On Friday, two Cleveland Guardians players made history. The Naylor brothers, Josh and Bo Naylor, both recorded a hit in game four of the ALCS against the New York Yankees at Progressive Field. Both brothers from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, became the first set of brothers in major league baseball to record a hit within the same game for the same team in the American League Championship Series.
This moment also marked the first time a Canadian has drove in another Canadian in postseason history.

First time in MLB history that a Canadian has driven in a fellow Canadian in a playoff game.

During the game, Josh Naylor went 2 for 5 and tallied 3 RBI. He was the best offensive player all night for the Guardians. Bo Naylor doubled in the 8th inning and added a run during the performance. He went 1 for 3 during the game.
The magic from the Naylor brothers did not stop during game five on Saturday. In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Josh Naylor recorded a base hit to get the offense going for Cleveland. This was his 10th hit of the 2024 postseason.
Two batters later, Bo Naylor was able to knock his brother in for a run with an RBI double. This gave Cleveland the lead 1-0. It was Bo Naylor’s third hit of the 2024 postseason.
This is just a piece of unique history the Naylor brothers were a part of during the ALCS.
