On Sunday, Charlie Condon, the top prospect for the Colorado Rockies, was promoted to Double-A baseball to play for the Hartford Yard Goats.

He has previously been playing for the Rockies’ Arizona Complex League team and Colorado’s High-A affiliate, the Spokane Indians.

During the 2025 season with Spokane, Condon had a .312 batting average, a .431 on-base percentage, and an .851 OPS.

The top prospect also has three home runs and 17 RBI with the Indians this season.

In his last four games, Condon has six hits, two doubles, and two RBIs.

Former Golden Spikes Winner with the Georgia Bulldogs

Condon was drafted third overall in the 2024 MLB draft by the Rockies after a historic 2024 season with the Georgia Bulldogs.

That season, he became the first ever Georgia Bulldog to win the Golden Spikes Award. He had a .433 batting average, a .556 on-base percentage, and a 1.009 slugging percentage.

His 37 home runs he had that season are the fifth most by a player in one year in college baseball history.

Condon also walked more than he struck out, with 57 walks compared to just 41 strikeouts.

The star player helped Georgia make it to a super regional for the first time since 2008. That season, the Bulldogs went 43-17 overall.

Currently, the Colorado Rockies’ number one prospect is ranked 22nd overall in the MLB pipeline’s top 100. As of the beginning of the 2025 MLB season, Colorado’s farm system ranks 18th in the league.
