Copa Centenario Begins May 28 2925

The Copa Centenario event will be held from May 28 to June 1 at Estadio de Alajuela, Estadio de Santo Domingo, and Estadio Escarré in San José, Costa Rica, with host nation Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Guatemala participating.

Estadio Escarré will host seven of the eight games played during the Copa Centenario, with Estadio Santo Domingo featuring one game—Guatemala vs. Costa Rica—on May 30 at 9 p.m. EDT.

All Copa Centenario games will stream live on Deportes VIP’s YouTube channel, Deportes VIP’s Facebook page, and Tigo Sports Costa Rica for viewers in the region.

The tournament is organized by the Federación Costarricense de Béisbol and is sanctioned by the Costa Rica Olympic Committee, the World Baseball Softball Confederation, and the Instituto Costarricense del Deporte y la Recreación.

The Copa Centenario will impact each participating nation’s standing in the WBSC rankings.

Each team will play the others once before the championship game on June 1.

All tiebreakers will be determined first by head-to-head win-loss record, followed by the Team Quality Balance run differential rule.

The championship and third-place games will both be played on June 1 at Estadio Escarré.
