The Diamondbacks take the series against Philadelphia and move closer to the Dodgers in the National League West. Here’s everything you missed from yesterday in the MLB.

Diamondbacks 12, Phillies 5

  • Arizona took the final game of the series to make it eight straight series won for the Diamondbacks. Merrill Kelly allowed two runs in five innings in his return from injury. The Diamondbacks collected 18 hits, including three from Jake McCarthy, to secure the win. Arizona trails the Dodgers by three and a half games for the NL West lead.

Angels 6, Nationals 4

  • The Angels avoided the sweep thanks to seven and two-thirds from Jack Kochanowicz, who allowed two runs and picked up his first major league win. Kevin Pillar drove two in on a double to left that capped off a five-run fourth inning to give the Halos the advantage.

Astros 10, Red Sox 2

  • Houston won their fifth straight after Alex Bregman kicked off a five-run fifth inning with a three-run homer. Yordan Alvarez followed that up with his third home run in two games. The Astros remained tied at the top of the AL West.

Yankees 8, Rangers 7

  • Juan Soto homered twice, Giancarlo Stanton hit a three-run homer, and Aaron Judge hit his major league-leading 42nd homer of the year in the Yankees win. New York took the series and moved back into a tie atop the AL East.

A’s 8, Blue Jays 4

  • Oakland jumped out to the early lead after scoring six in the first inning off two-run homers from JJ Bleday and Zack Gelof. JP Sears allowed three runs and struck out four in his seven innings. The A’s reached their win total from last season after winning the series in Toronto.

Marlins 7, Padres 6

  • Jake Burger homered for his third straight game, and Jesus Sanchez hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning to give the Marlins a cushion and end the Padres seven-game winning streak. San Diego has a hold of the second wildcard spot in the NL.

Rays 2, Orioles 1

  • The Rays avoided the three-game sweep after Curtis Mead gave Tampa the lead on a sac fly in the eighth inning. Anthony Santander hit homer No. 35 on the season in the losing effort that dropped the Orioles into a tie for first in the AL East.

Reds 4, Brewers 3

  • Spencer Steer hit a sac fly in the seventh inning that gave the Reds the lead and put an end to Milwaukee’s five-game winning streak. After avoiding the sweep, Cincinnati sits four and a half games out of an NL wildcard spot.

Guardians 5, Twins 3

  • The Guardians scored four in the sixth inning, started by a homer from David Fry, which took the lead. Cleveland won the final two games of the series to earn a split against the second-place team in the AL Central. The Twins trail the Guardians by three and a half games.

Rockies 9, Braves 8

  • The Rockies overcame their largest deficit of the season, scoring seven runs in the eighth that began with a two-run homer from Jake Cave and was capped off by a two-RBI Brendan Rodgers double that gave Colorado the lead. After losing the series, Atlanta is a half-game above the Mets in the wildcard race.

Tigers 5, Giants 4

  • Detroit avoided the sweep from the Giants thanks to a two-run homer from Dillon Dingler, the first of his career. San Francisco trails the Braves by one and a half games for the final NL wildcard spot.

Dodgers 6, Pirates 5

  • Teoscar Hernandez drove in three runs, including the game-winning RBI on a single in the 10th. Kike Hernandez doubled in the 10th to tie the game before becoming the winning run. The Dodgers swept the series and extended the Pirates losing streak to seven games.

Mariners 12, Mets 1

  • The Mariners swept the Mets thanks to a two-homer game from Cal Raleigh. Luis Castillo struck out nine and allowed one run on four hits in six innings. Seattle remained in a tie for first with Houston in the AL East, while the Mets sit a half-game out of a wildcard spot.
