Miami Hurricane infielder Daniel Cuvet has put on a show during the past two seasons.
He has a career batting average of .361, a career on-base percentage of .439, and a career OPS of 1.161.
Cuvet has hit for power and knocked in plenty of runs during his career as well. He has 42 career home runs and 159 career RBI with the Hurricanes.
In 2025, he was second-team All-ACC and a Golden Spikes Award semi-finalist. He was also named a first-team All-American by D1 Baseball, Baseball America, and the American Baseball Coaches Association.
After being a Perfect Game All-American in high school, Cuvet was drafted in the 17th round of the 2023 MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He turned that down to play college baseball at Miami.
In 2024, he set Miami’s single-season record for home runs by a freshman with 24. That same season, he led all freshmen in the country in RBI with 75.
Cuvet was also second-team All-ACC that season and a member of the ACC’s All-Tournament team.
In 2025, the Miami Hurricanes finished the regular season 35-27 and were 15-14 in ACC play.
Despite getting knocked out of the ACC Tournament in one game, Miami made the NCAA Tournament. They were the three seed in the Hattiesburg regional.
Three wins over Alabama, Columbia, and Southern Miss allowed them to move on to the Louisville super regional.
Despite losing to the Cardinals and coming up just short on a trip to the College World Series, it was Miami’s first super regional appearance since 2016.
