After a 10-year absence, the Serie A Gold Baseball All-Star Game will return on June 23, 2026, in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Organized by the Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball, the showcase will feature many of the top players from Italy’s highest level of professional baseball.

The previous All-Star Game was held in Piacenza in 2016, and its return adds another major event to the Italian baseball calendar as the sport continues to grow internationally.

Italy’s recent international performances have helped elevate the profile of baseball in the country, highlighted by the national team’s run to the semifinals at the 2026 World Baseball Classic, which brought heightened visibility to the sport in recent years.

The game serves as a mid-season highlight, bringing together the best players from Italy’s premier baseball league. The event also comes at a time of growing interest in baseball across Italy, fueled in part by the popularity surrounding the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

The day will open with a Home Run Derby featuring some of the league’s top power hitters, and notable players from Italia Élite. The Italian national team will travel to the Netherlands days later for Haarlem Baseball Week, from June 26 to July 5.

Following the Derby, the All-Star Game will take center stage with a matchup between stars from Group A and Group B. Players from the Italian national team, along with selected standouts from across Serie A Gold, are expected to participate in the event.

The exhibition will also carry competitive significance. The winning side may secure home-field advantage for its group in the 2026 Italian Baseball Series, with the Serie A Gold Scudetto Final scheduled to begin Aug. 27 to Sept. 6 and will be played as a best-of-seven series.

Fans are expected to create an energetic atmosphere in Reggio Emilia while supporting both Italian-born and international players competing in the Serie A Gold. The event will also feature official pregame ceremonies recognizing players selected from across Serie A Gold, including standout stars from Group A clubs such as Parma Clima, Unipol Bologna, and Nettuno 1945, as well as Group B clubs San Marino, Macerata, and Reggio Emilia.

Several hitters have already emerged as early offensive leaders entering the event. Lorenzo Morresi leads the league with 15 hits, while Ricardo Paolini has collected 12 hits and Miguel Lopez follows closely with 11. Their performances are expected to draw intriguing attention heading into the All-Star festivities.

Early season pitching standouts include Alex Bassani (0.00 ERA), Filippo Crepaldi (1.00 ERA) and Hector Manuel Garcia Lopez (1.04 ERA)

Coming just months after the 2026 World Baseball Classic, the return of the Serie A Gold All-Star Game arrives with major momentum, renewed attention and perfect timing surrounding baseball in Italy. Increased focus from fans, media, and the international baseball community has helped create growing excitement around the sport, making the event one of the most anticipated showcases on the Italian baseball calendar.

The All-Star Game will not only celebrate the league’s top talent but also highlight the continued rise of Italian baseball on the global stage.

Additional information regarding the full event schedule and players is expected to be announced by FIBS in the coming weeks. You can find the most up-to-date player statistics for the season directly on the FIBS Serie A Gold Stats page.
